I was at a friend's house the other night and the friend had just come back from vacation. He had a lot of things to catch up on and I was helping him do some of it. While we were working, he asked me to help him take care of someone. I didn't know who this person was and he actually was not even his real name.
What he wanted me to do was go to the doctor's office and drop off a package. The doctor's office was about three blocks away and I agreed to go. When I got there, I saw that someone had already gone into the doctor's office to give this person a package, but I wasn't sure if it was what he wanted me to bring or if it was something entirely different. So, as I sit outside this person's house waiting for him to come out, I am thinking everything through in my head about what he might have said when he asked me to come by with this package.
So, when they come out, I say, "I'm sorry, but my friend asked me to bring back something for you." And they said, "Oh yeah? What's that?" "It's a cassette," is what comes out of my mouth before I even stop thinking about what words are coming out of my mouth. And then they look at each other like they are completely surprised by these words coming out of my mouth.
